1/2/2023 0 Comments Original doom coverBethesda announced a significant freebie for the game's 2016 version, while original Doom fans received a pretty random trivia reveal from none other than John Romero himself. This article was brought to you by Comic Barricade and the new Comic Barricade XL, the perfect solution to your comic storage issues! No more slipping sliding or spine bends from half full comic boxes.Multiple Doom-related stories landed on the nerd newswire on Wednesday, and they focused on decidedly different eras of the decades-old series. However, it will be sometime before that actualizes. ![]() I am pulling for this series, because I think it’s a great way to deliver conflict organically between 2 super-hero teams once both teams are introduced into the MCU. As far as spec is concerned, this is a LONG play. And the lengths an opportunistic villain like Dr Doom is willing to go to humiliate Reed by agreeing to assist in the restoration of Kitty Pryde’s form. I enjoyed how Chris Claremont humanized Reed, his struggles, and self-doubt over his abilities, even as Marvel’s foremost scientific mind. As a huge X-Men fan, I didn’t really care for the Fantastic Four, but after reading this series, I came to appreciate the team’s dynamic and place within the Marvel Universe. God Doom is important if not the most important character in this version of Secret Wars, and his covers might mean something in the future if that possibility of the MCU ever comes to fruition.Īlonzo – I know I’m cheating a bit here, since it’s not actually Dr Doom on the cover, but I love the fact that Reed Richards is taking on Doom’s appearance here for Fantastic Four Versus The X-Men #1. I think it will be good idea start picking up these 2015 Secret Wars issues now while there are inexpensive. As for spec value nothing key really happens, but there is a possibility in the future of the MCU that this version of Doom could happen. The art really captures Susan’s love for Doom and her confidence in the security of his arms. I think Tomm knocks it out the park with his representation of God Doom and Susan Von Doom from the series. Secret Wars #3 1:25 variant by Tomm Coker is one of the few Doctor Doom covers in this 2015 Secret Wars run. Rob – There are so many excellent Doctor Doom covers, but this Doctor Doom cover stands out in my eyes. It’s a story of how Doom is accused of killing thousands and must fight numerous heroes and villains, alike, to clear his name with no title, no army, and no allies! In a world where the MCU gives audiences a perspective on villains, where you can empathize with their plight, Doom could be a victim of a plot to dethrone him, leaving him with a mission to recapture Latveria! It was the first ongoing solo series for Doctor Doom. His cape is perfectly flowing with so much detail, it looks as if you were to touch the cover, you would feel the velvet material! In addition to an awesome cover, the book has some minor spec. Jeff My Favorite Doctor Doom cover is the 1:25 Simone Bianchi incentive variant for Doctor Doom #1! I love the details of Doom’s armor and cape! The darkness in his mask gives you an eerie feeling, as if he’s about to reign hell on someone.
